Rosefire Antiques began with a collection of English New Hall porcelain that I started in college. From there, I began to be specifically interested in American furniture, other porcelains and silver through various expert collectors and dealers who have given me invaluable knowledge by working for them. The name 'Rosefire' comes
from two sources. Firstly, rosettes and flame finials are used often in well crafted pieces which explains the use of 'rose'and 'fire.' Also the 'rose' and 'fire' are used in T.S. Eliot's,FOUR QUARTETS,Little Gidding,V:
"And all shall be well and
All manner of thing shall be well
When the tongues of flame are in-folded
Into the crowned knot of fire
And the fire and the rose are one."
Thus, I named this collecting and selling venture, Rosefire Antiques. I also have a Rosefire Antiques space in Interiors Market-Fondren where you will find a more extensive look at my pieces. Appointments are welcome.
